Tyler Park tunnel access to be closed for more than six weeks
As part of the ongoing work at Tyler Park, access to the tunnel under Baxter Avenue will be closed beginning Monday, December 9.
The contractor will be installing temporary chain link fencing panels to close off the area around the tunnel. To go over the historic bridge, users will have to use the sets of stone steps on the north side of the park.
No exact re-opening date is available, but work around the tunnel area is anticipated to last at least six weeks.

Park DuValle welcomes all to Holiday Festival on Dec. 7
Members of the Park DuValle community are proud to host the Fourth Annual Park DuValle Holiday Festival this Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019. The four-hour event takes place 2- 6 p.m. featuring fun and activities for all ages held at numerous sites in the Park DuValle neighborhood. The event concludes at 5:30 p.m. with a Tree Lighting Ceremony next to the clubhouse at 1804 Russell Lee Dr.

Champions Crowned at 75th Junior Falls Cities
The week that started off extremely wet turned out beautiful for Championship matches held on Thursday at Iroquois Golf Course. Great spirit and sportsmanship came to a conclusion with Joe Benton of Estill County defeating Andreas Olsen from Louisville Trinity High School 5&4 in the 36-hole Boys Championship match. Jenna Estravillo defeated Matti Spalding impressively 9&8 in the Girls Championship Flight.
