Junk and Bulk Trash Disposal

Jefferson County residents may drop off up to three large household items at the Waste Reduction Center, 636 Meriwether Avenue for FREE. (Examples: appliance, matteress, sofa, etc.) Hours: Tuesday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Large items are collected 3 times a year in the Urban Services District. See map .

Please recycle TVs (and other electronics) at the Waste Reduction Center, 636 Meriwether Avenue. Many electronic items contain valuable materials or even toxic substances that should be kept out of the landfill.

Please recycle cardboard boxes. They should be flattened and possibly cut down to a manageable size. They can be set out with weekly recycling or taken to a drop off recycling dumpster.
